The Site

Belgravia Leisure is the proud council partner of Western Downs Council. As of 18th of May, we became the management team for this wonderful venue. Our multi-activity facility serves the Chinchilla community and surrounds, offering programs and facilities to cater to the inclusion of people of all ages and abilities.

With both a 25m indoor pool and a 50m outdoor pool, members of the Chinchilla community can enjoy swimming all year round. Plus, build strength and endurance in our health club open 24/7. Chinchilla Aquatic and Fitness Centre provides opportunities for the whole family to get active.

The Role

We are currently looking for enthusiastic, reliable and friendly lifeguards to join the team. Our lifeguards will be responsible for the Day to Day Pool Operations within our facility and ensure that all areas both in and surrounding our pools is a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.

You will have a passion for safety around the water. You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensure our patrons safely enjoy their visit every time.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs.

Skills & Attributes:

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• An understanding of OHS and public safety applications within your facility
• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a strong and valuable part of the team
• Current First Aid (Level 2)
• Current CPR Certificate
• Blue Card - QLD Working with Children Check & National Police check
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Current Pool Operations Certificate is not essential but highly regarded

If you're still keen to join our company and become a lifeguard, we will be happy to pay for your qualification. We run lifeguard, First Aid, CPR and swim teacher courses through Belgravia Academy. Our qualified trainers and assessors will ensure you are fully trained and qualified to become a lifeguard.
